Something Awakens

The cavern is unlike the others, it is a room contained unto itself.  Computer like panels illuminate the walls and elaborate terminals are methodically placed throughout the room.  A faint beeping sound attracts the attention of Dr.Lutz and lures him to move toward it.  As he steps beyond the threshold, Samuel eyes scan the room.  Being aware of the dangers that lurk within, Samuel screams no; but his voice falls upon deaf ears.  As Dr.Lutz leans forward to investigate, a large arm reaches down from the ceiling and takes hold of the doctor in it’s large claw like fingers…

Something Awakens

The passage narrows thus only allowing us to walk in single file.  Knowing that we cannot escape the depths by means of which we came, we continue moving forward.   Samuel has taken the lead; his every step is met with great caution. We do not want to upset the order of things we have yet to understand.  Banded together we step into one another’s footprints. Just ahead is what appears to be a doorway, as Samuel steps beyond the threshold he gasps.  Something awakens!  It is here that we discover that which is not of our world and now there is no turning back…
